Putting myself in New shoes (Literally)

Putting Myself in the person's shoes - Literally.

Maths was crazy. We had the german teacher. He is funny. But insane. Really, double insane.
Some examples:
"Raise your pandy if someone is doing the play".. Pandy?? What the hell.
"You having fun down there?"(Him talking to the computer fixer thingymejeg) The class giggles and then "Get on with your work!"He screeches.
Big big cackle randomly after he teaches us a maths technique.
"Now we don't want shedloads of talking. Because shedloads of talking is not good." Shedloads? SHEDLOADS? What the hell all over again.
He wasn't even trying to make us giggle! He remarked so seriously what on earth are we laughing about everyone knew this was no joke. Weird. Getting to the main blog point: In drama - for our assesment - as our practical test for our grade - we have been asked in groups of four, five or six people to arrange a play ranging from 5-7 mins and no longer nor shorter. We have five weeks and in our own time and class time we have to practice and perfect it. We can do it on anything -but we were given a sheet. One with a shoe. The other with what looked like people saying goodbye. It could be based loosely or closely on this. I teamed up with Lara, Grace, Carryn and Nancy. As usual - you know me - forever writing stories. I had inspiration by the shoe. What about if there was this girl, and she knicks her sister (who's snobby and girlie and obsessed with make-up)'s high heeled party shoes. Then they turn out to be really lucky. She wins the lottery, meets her fave singer, ect. I discussed this with the group. Grace said about these people running away. Eventually, our group decided on the shoe thing. I was really chuffed. Then we added extra parts - Nancy and Carryn were playing my best friends, and they went shopping and got scratch cards and partied with me. Then they said I could be the girl! Yay! Lara was the sister (She was really good at it) and flicked through magazines and complained and acted furiously about the shoes - but she didn't know about the luck. Grace wanted to be the extra multi-roler who was the shopkeeper, maid, and cleaner..all with an added twist - we decided the mean shopkeeper who sold the lottery cards wanted to steal the scratch card so she got a job as a cleaner in the house. Then there are a few more roles - Lara and Grace then become my idol and his wife - and more. Carryn=Winnie. Nancy=Carly. Lara=we haven't ecided a name. Grace=Monica. Its really good so far - and Nancy is arranging special dates where we will gather in the library and practice. I hope we get a good mark. It should be very fun- Lara's got to wear a bucketful of make-up because she's the snobby one, Carryn is Winnie - the tomboyish one so she's got to wear baggy trousers and stuff, and me and Nancy have got to wear flashy girl stuff - and I have to borrow her red sparkly stilettoes.

  1. Gosh, a play for drama? Wow, just in December we had one too, Anna. Coincidence??

And I know the great feelings when our choices get accepted by others (my choice was agreed to by all the other team members.) Make the play a success - I'm sure you will - because there is nothing better than the sounds clapping and cheering going on when you act. Sadly due to unfortunate circumstances our play was not a success (maybe next time?) because of some team members' acting prowess (they weren't able to so.) :-( I'm sure you'll make it, though!

I'm amazed at how frequently you write posts. This afternoon I just finished writing a post for the first time in a month!! If you like, you can check my blog which is second in my profile (I accidentally made two blogs of the same name).

    Best wishes,
    Philip
